Terms & Conditions

All bookings and work undertaken by County Durham Flooring Solutions are subject to the following terms and conditions. By proceeding with a booking, the customer agrees to these terms, which outline our policies on payments, site preparation, liability, complaints, and other essential aspects of our service. Please read carefully to ensure a clear understanding of both parties' responsibilities.

  • All outstanding balances must paid upon completion of service. To avoid accidents all areas should be cleared of any breakable objects, i.e. Ornaments, China, Glassware,

  • Valuables, etc. To enable our fitters to carry out their work more quickly and more efficiently, it would be appreciated that as much furniture be cleared from areas where our fitters are working.

  • Shading - All pile carpets, especially those with plain grounds are liable to shading, i.e. light and dark patches arising from uneven pressure. This tendency is not detrimental to the wear of the carpet and is not due to any manufacturing fault.

  • Kitchens - Unfortunately we are unable to accept any responsibility and liability for the moving of kitchen equipment. I.e. Cookers, Fridge/Freezers, Washers, etc. (this includes disconnecting)

  • Timings - We are only able to provide approximate timings dependent on the scale of the job/works required.

  • Cancellations - We reserve the right not to accept cancellations after deposits have been paid or goods ordered.

  • Any complaint regarding flooring coverings must be notified to us within 48 hours and confirmed in writing within 7 days.

  • Receipt must be produced in the event of any complaint. No action will be taken without a receipt.

  • Complaints - No compensation will be considered for time lapses caused by our suppliers being slow to react.

  • Furniture left in rooms which fitting work is to be carried out is the sole responsibility of the customer. We strongly advise that the customers clears the rooms of furniture.

    • (Unless agreed in advance on quote that moving of furniture is required, this does incur additional cost)

  • Televisions / Electronic Items. - If these items are left in areas to be fitted. We accept no responsibility for any damage which might happen if left in rooms.

  • Hidden Pipework or Cables or Wires - We accept no responsibility for the position or any damage after flooring has been fitted. It is the customers responsibility to advise flooring specialists as the the position of any wires, cables, etc.

  • We do not cut doors, this remains the responsibility of the customer.

  • We cannot be held responsible for customers own underlays that have been poorly fitted.

  • Widths of Carpets - Quotes are approximate and will be within 1.25% of advertised width in accordance with Clause 3 of British Standards 3655 (1974)

  • Customers Inaccurate Sizes - We cannot be held responsible for any inaccurate sizes given by the customer.

  • Pattern Matching - Every effort will be made to colour and pattern match where seams are necessary, however where carpets of different widths have to be used in one installation no guarantee can be given.
